Topology Of Skateboarding – SamplePack Vol 1

This is a sample pack collection of field recordings of skateboarding, cut samples, as well as breaks derived from samples cut from skateboard recordings. As well as an Ableton instrument rack containing samples, and macros for stock plugin perameters. This is to represent the versatility and creativity that is rife within the sonic ecology of skateboarding, and that the sounds of skateboarding are applicable to many aspects of music production. Given a different perspective, the sounds you hear could be beneficial to creating your own unique sound.
Recorded in multiple locations, Indoor Skatepark Prime and City of Plymouth, as well as Buckland skatepark in Newton Abbot.

Here are 4 Tracks made solely out of the skate recordings and samples cut for the sample pack, with harsh restrictions excluding the use of outsourced samples. What you are about to hear is a plethora of skate noises, re-contextualised in a new light.

Swaying more to the experimental side, expect diverse rhythms and interesting textures.

Topology Of Skateboarding – Sk8Scapes Vol1

A collection of realistic soundscapes depicting the local skate scene of Plymouth, giving you an insight to the sounds that skateboarders experience day to day. To also represent that not only is skateboarding fun to look at and fun to do, but its also fun to listen to. Detailing the sonic thumbprint of skating through a collection of journeys.

Featuring recordings of hotspots like Civics, Prime and Town Centre, as well as different skateparks like Buckland in Newton Abbot and Parkfield in Torquay.
